First Visit

Your initial appointment will consist of a comprehensive exam. This is an in-depth evaluation of your dental needs and priorities and includes a full mouth series (FMX) digital x-rays, periodontal charting, and intraoral digital photos. Please allow 1 1/2 hours for this initial evaluation. You will not have your teeth cleaned at this appointment.

If your dental treatment needs are minimal, we will provide you with a treatment plan and give you an estimate of your insurance coverage at the end of the visit. If you have more extensive needs, we may schedule a consultation appointment where we will discuss your treatment options with you.

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your initial visit:

  • Your new patient information that was mailed to you and any x-rays, if applicable.
  • A list of medications you are presently taking.
  • If you have dental insurance, bring your ID card. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 at all visits.

Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.) or require medication prior to dental cleanings (i.e antibiotics, for pre-med.)

X-Rays

If your previous dentist has taken recent x-rays (within 6-months), you may request that they forward them to our office. Our email for sending x-rays is [email protected]. If they can’t email them, please pick them up and bring them to our office. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
